About HappyChef

HappyChef is a reservation system for restaurants, built in Essen by founder Thibault Van de Sompele. Restaurants start for free or buy the system once for €1,500, with no subscription and 90 days money back. This year HappyChef has already processed more than 100,000 reservations.

The site happychef.cloud runs in 24 languages and brings in restaurant owners every day. Your job: make sure more of those visitors create an account or book a demo.

What You Will Do

  • Measure where visitors drop off, from the first page to creating an account.
  • Design, build and analyse A/B tests on landing pages, the pricing page and the signup flow.
  • Improve copy, forms and buttons together with Thibault and the team that builds the site.
  • Report every month on what worked, what did not, and what the next test is.

Who You Are

  • You have experience with conversion optimisation, A/B testing and web analytics.
  • You read numbers critically and never draw conclusions from samples that are too small.
  • You write clearly in English; Dutch and French are a plus.
  • You like working on your own in a small team that decides fast.

What We Offer

  • Working directly with the founder, Thibault Van de Sompele.
  • A product restaurants own instead of rent, and a site with real traffic to test on.
  • Hybrid work from Essen, with room to choose your own tests.
  • Contract and hours to be agreed: employee or freelance, full-time or part-time.
