Group Seating Plan Maker

The organiser sends a list of names, the menu choices in the same WhatsApp and the allergies in another one. Put those names on chairs here: the kitchen count, the per-table service sheet and the place cards fall out by themselves — and whatever does not add up is printed with them.

How it works

  1. 1

    Set out your tables

How many tables, and how many chairs each. The tool knows straight away whether the room holds the party or whether you are short of chairs.

  2. 2

    Type the guest list

Name, the group somebody belongs to, their choice per course, and any diet or allergy. A group is just text — "the Peeters family" is enough.

  3. 3

    Put everybody on a chair

Drag a name onto a chair, or let the button do it: it keeps every group on one table and says so when it cannot.

  4. 4

    Print what you need

The plan for the door, the service sheet for the pass and the floor, or the place cards — eight to an A4, ready to fold.

Frequently asked questions

Is this seating plan free?

Yes, completely free, with no account and nothing to install. You fill it in and print straight from your browser.

How is this different from the group run sheet?

The run sheet plans the evening: when they arrive, when the speech is, how many of each course. This plan does the other half: who sits on which chair, what that chair eats, and who cannot have gluten.

Why print place cards?

Because a plan at the door only works once the chair has a name on it. Otherwise twenty-four people mill about looking for a seat while the amuse dies on the pass.

Does it keep families together?

Yes. Fill in a group name and the "seat everybody" button puts that group on one table. When it cannot, the sheet says the group was split — instead of letting you find out at the door.

Is my plan saved?

Yes, on this device, in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account.

This is a house document, not a contract. Deposits, cancellation terms and what happens when a group turns up smaller differ per country and per operator — follow your own conditions for those.
