Kitchen Layout Planner — Free Kitchen Floor Plan & Workflow Tool
Draw your kitchen's floor plan in minutes. Drag the range, oven, fryer, prep counters, sink, dishwasher and walk-ins onto the plan, and the tool reads back how far your busiest crossing runs and where the gap between two work stations gets too tight. Print, download as a PDF or share your plan — it all works straight in your browser, no install and no account.
How do you draw a kitchen layout?
- 1
Add equipment
Click the range, oven, fryer, prep counter, sink, walk-in or any other piece in the palette. Every piece appears on the plan right away.
- 2
Arrange your kitchen
Drag each piece into place. Click a piece to change its name, size, rotation or colour.
- 3
Read the workflow
The tool works out your busiest crossing automatically (e.g. range to pass) and warns when two work stations are placed too close together.

Plan a compact delivery-only production kitchen, where every step between cooking and pass counts.
Catering kitchen
Lay out a central kitchen with several work lines and keep an eye on the gap between every station.
Frequently asked questions
Is this kitchen layout tool free?
Yes, completely free with no account or install. Your plan is saved locally in your browser, so it's still there after a refresh. Print it, download it as a PDF, or share it with a link.
How does the tool work out my busiest crossing?
The tool groups your equipment by workflow stage (storage, prep, cooking, pass, wash-up) and measures the distance between each stage, weighted by how often that crossing actually happens during a service — range to pass happens on every single plate, storage to prep only once per prep session. The heaviest-weighted, farthest link gets the warning.
What does the warning about a tight gap mean?
The tool measures the distance between every pair of work stations someone actually stands and works at (range, prep counter, sink, pass…) and warns when it's under a common minimum working aisle. That's a rule of thumb, not a legal standard — always check the fire-safety and hygiene rules that apply to your own kitchen.
Can I rotate or resize equipment?
Yes. Click a piece to change its size (small, medium, large) and its rotation — handy for fitting a range or prep counter against a different wall.
Does the tool work without an account?
Yes, everything works with no account or login: adding and dragging equipment, reading the workflow, printing, downloading and sharing a link.
Does this replace a kitchen designer?
No. The tool gives you a fast, free first look at your layout and its crossings, but it doesn't replace a professional kitchen design, a fire-safety inspection, or your installer's advice on extraction, gas and electrics.
