Regulars & VIP Guest Book

A good host remembers who wants the table by the window, who is allergic to nuts, and who celebrated their wedding here. Put your regulars on one card, tick off who's coming in tonight, and see straight away who you haven't seen in longer than usual.

How it works

  1. 1

Put your regulars on a card

Name, and if you want, a note on preferences, allergies or a favourite table. Colour is optional and means whatever you want it to.

  2. 2

    Tick off who's in tonight

Tap the guests you're expecting tonight and print the floor briefing — so nobody has to ask who at table 12 has a nut allergy.

  3. 3

See who you haven't seen in a while

The tool remembers how often each guest normally comes in and flags them the moment they stay away longer than usual — exactly the moment to send a message.

Frequently asked questions

Is this free, and do I need to make an account?

The guest book is completely free and needs no account. You open the page and start straight away; nothing is asked for and nothing is sold.

Where does my guests' data go?

Only into your own browser, on this device (localStorage). Nothing is uploaded to HappyChef or anyone else. Print the guest book if you want a paper copy, and keep in mind that guest data is personal data: don't keep it longer than you need to, and ask for consent where that's required.

How does the tool know when someone 'stays away too long'?

From two visits onward, the tool calculates the average number of days between THAT guest's own visits. If they then stay away one and a half times longer than their own rhythm, they show up in 'Haven't seen in a while' — a weekly regular after three weeks, a monthly one only after six weeks.

What does the colour on a card mean?

Nothing fixed — the colour is yours. Use it for VIP, an allergy risk, a favourite table, or just your own memory aid. The tool doesn't attach a meaning of its own.

Can I print the list for the team?

Yes. Tick tonight's guests and print the briefing: name, note and table/preference on one sheet for the pass. Print without ticking anything and you get the full guest book, alphabetically.
