What Stays In Your Browser
Everything you make in Menu Studio — your designs, the photos and logos you upload, and the snapshots the studio keeps so you can go back — is saved in your own browser (localStorage and IndexedDB). None of it is sent to a server: the studio works offline, and your downloads (PDF, PNG, JPG, SVG) are made on your own device.
Your browser also remembers a few small settings. Their names all start with hc-menu:
You can delete all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Designs you have not downloaded are then gone for good: we cannot restore them, because we never had them.
Likes
When you like a template, your browser sends the template's id and your random device marker to our server (api.happychef.cloud). The server stores the template id, the device marker and a salted hash of your IP address — never the IP address itself.
The hash lets us count one like per device and stop mass-liking; it cannot be turned back into your address. The store only ever shows the total number of likes of a template.
Invisible Bot Checks
Likes and AI generation are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible check that tells people from bots without puzzles. Its script is loaded only at the moment you like a template or generate a design — never while you just browse.
For that check, Cloudflare processes technical signals from your browser, such as your IP address and browser characteristics.
Generate With AI
When you use Generate With AI, the prompt you type and the options you pick are sent through our server to the AI provider for one purpose only: generating that design for you.
To keep the service free for everyone, the number of generations per day is limited. Please do not type personal information into a prompt.
Free Photos
The photo search in Menu Studio asks Openverse for free CC0 and public-domain images, directly from your browser. Openverse receives your search words and, like any site your browser loads something from, your IP address. We do not see your searches.
Cookies, Ads And Tracking
The store sets no cookies, shows no ads, runs no analytics and loads no tracking pixels. Its pages, fonts, images and scripts are served from happychef.cloud itself.
Who Is Responsible
The menu template store is run by HappyChef. Who we are, how to reach us and your rights to see, correct and delete data are set out in the HappyChef Privacy Policy. The Terms are the rules for using the store and its templates.
